Complete One aiming to attract individuals affected by Utility Wise Collapse

On February 13th, Utility Wise announced it had gone into administration, with around 580 workers losing their jobs. Newcastle-based event marketing specialists, Complete One are aiming to attract those individuals affected.

The North Tyneside business was formed in 2006 to help small businesses manage their energy bills. The firm helps business clients to procure gas and electricity. In recent months, the firm has been frantically searching for a new buyer, willing to invest £10m to help keep the business afloat, however talks with interested bidders broke down, and it was announced on February 13th that Utility Wise was entering administration. Shockingly, workers hadn’t been consulted before it was revealed that they were being made redundant.

Complete One currently represents one of the world’s leading energy providers. The firm is the largest energy supplier outside of the Big 6 in the UK. Complete One has been working with the energy giant since 2016 and have established a proven track record of delivering both quality and quantity customer acquisitions.

When the news broke about Utility Wise, Managing Director at Complete One, Glen Lowes, recognised an opportunity to attract the workers that had been affected. Award-winning entrepreneur, Mr Lowes believes that having a background in energy and experience working in a customer-focussed role, those individuals would be a perfect fit as they look to increase representation in their energy division.

‘While relevant industry experience isn’t a strict requirement, those individuals with a background in energy will have a solid core skill-set which will make it an easy transition for them into our business,’ commented Mr Lowes.

Complete One has massive growth goals for the next 18 months as they look to expand across the UK. Effective talent acquisition plays a pivotal role in the firm’s ability to make those goals a reality, and Mr Lowes is confident that by appealing to people from an energy background, it can act as a catalyst for the firm to reach their goals faster.

Complete One is an ambitious and dynamic outsourced sales and marketing company, specialising in customer acquisition through in-person promotions that bring brands to life. In a world of ever advancing technologies, they offer clients something that is often lacking in today’s digital world, the personal touch.
