Complete One Host Second Annual Future Business Owners Retreat

Managing Director at Complete One Glen Lowes has hailed the success of the firm’s annual Future Business Owners Retreat, held this year at Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort in the idyllic Scottish countryside.

The inaugural future business owners retreat, previously held at Felmoor Park in Northumberland, proved to be such a tremendous success that Mr Lowes decided to make it a yearly event in the company’s calendar.

Complete One now have market reach in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Sheffield, and York and the purpose of the retreat was to bring together the top performers and rising stars within those markets. Over the course of the weekend, the goal was to provide them with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skillset, progress their business development, connect with like-minded individuals – all the while relaxing, unwinding and having fun.

Award winning event marketing specialists Complete One believe much of their success is due to their continued investment in the people they work with, and commitment to offering opportunities for people to develop both personally and professionally. The Future Business Owners Retreat is a chance for Complete One to recognise the individuals who are consistently performing at a high level and are considered rising stars of the future.

Piperdam was selected as the location for this year’s retreat because of the variety of activities it caters for, as well as the incredible accommodation. Mr Lowes booked the 4-Star Vegas lodges. Each lodge housed a balcony, fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TV’s, snooker table (¾ size), roulette and card games, private hot tub and sauna.

The three-day retreat kicked off with a relaxed evening of quizzes and games, allowing people time to arrive and settle in. The Saturday was a mixture of business and pleasure. There were a number of business workshops scheduled with guest speakers covering topics covered including; going the extra mile, how to build a business, and the importance of urgency. There were surprise guest speakers who appeared via Skype who are two of the most prominent individuals within the sales and marketing industry in the UK and US. On Saturday evening, Mr Lowes hosted a James Bond, Casino Royale theme night. On Sunday attendees had the chance to explore the grounds of Piperdam and use the leisure facilities. The retreat ended on Sunday night with a special dinner at a secret location, specifically for the business owners in the group.

One of the biggest benefits of the weekend is the fact it allows attendees to forge new relationships and grow their network. Complete One argue that in business, having a vast and diverse networking portfolio is tremendously important. “Being an entrepreneur is a solo journey, however, having people to rely on and to ask for advice and guidance is imperative,” said Mr Lowes.

Complete One is an outsourced sales and marketing firm based in Newcastle. The company specialises in raising brand awareness, and increasing market share for their client’s through personalised and interactive event marketing campaigns. “The retreat was a huge success, and I can’t wait to start planning next year’s,” said Mr Lowes.
